REYDON SENIOR CITIZEN DINNER

Everyone is invited to the Reydon Senior Citizen Dinner on THURSDAY, JANUARY 11, they will be serving Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Pea Salad, Corn, Hot Rolls and Cobbler from 4:30-6:30 PM. 55 & over $3.00; 55 & under $5.00; Children $3.00. Everyone welcome.

 

5th SUNDAY SINGING

The Cheyenne Pentecostal Church will host the community sing this month on Sunday, January 7 at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to come and participate. After service there will be a stew, chili and beans dinner with cornbread, crackers and dessert.

80th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

All family and friends are invited to help celebrate the 80th Birthday of Johnnie Stephens on Saturday, January 6, 2007 from 2-4:00 PM at the Holiday Inn in Elk City. Please bring a card or send them to 1007 B Lera, Elk City, OK 73644.

 

DEMPSEY SOCIAL

Margie Fowler, aka Minnie Pearl, will be featured at the Dempsey Social on Saturday, January 6, 2007. Stew and cornbread will be served. Please bring a dessert and come and enjoy the fun and games at Dempsey. Hope to see you there at 6:00 p.m.

 

 

OLD SETTLER’S PLANNING MEETING

REYDON TOWN & WATER BOARD MEETINGS

Reydon Rural Water District #3 Board of Directors will hold their monthly Board Meeting on Monday, January 8, 2007 beginning at 5:00 p.m. The Board of Trustees, Town of Reydon, will hold their monthly Board Meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 9, 2007. The meetings will be open to the public.

 

PARTNERS in EDUCATION MEETING

 

Partners in Education will meet on Thursday, January 4, 5:00 PM at the Ambulance Barn. Everyone is welcome

 

RETIRED TEACHERS MEETING

All retired teachers are urged to attend a meeting on Friday, January 12, 2007, 11:30 AM to meet with legislatures. The meeting will be held at the Elks Lodge in Elk City.

 

AAA - NA MEETINGS

AAA - NA Meetings will be held in Cheyenne every Monday evening, 8:00 PM at 210 North 6th Street, (old Ma & Pa’s BBQ Building). Contact numbers are 497-6478 or 497-7419.

The Senior Bowling League results were: Female Star: Julie Skelton 63 pins over average. Male Star: Donald Atzet 67 pins over average. Games over 150: Harry Swift-186, George Whitehead-179, Leland Burns-177, Andy Pope-172, Joe Cullen-160, Leon Hobbs-153, Julie Skelton-166, Deaton Williams-153 and Jay Swift-150 Series over 450: George Whitehead-461 and Leland Burns-451.

 

 

GOLF CLUB NEWS

The team of Bob Cannon, Glenn Green, Ed Green and James Maddux were the winners of last Sunday’s Golf Scramble with a 5 under par. John Thomas was the winner on closest to the pin on Hole #3. See you Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Cheyenne Golf Course.
