Richard Rook of the Rook Theatre in Cheyenne, received word last week that he had won the sweepstakes prize in a national contest. The award, $100 awarded by the Motion Picture Exhibitors magazine, was for conducting the best advertising campaign in the nation. The Sorosis Club held the annual business meeting on January 2nd in the home of Mrs. C.M. Ewing. Mrs. Eddie L. McDaniels, president, presided during the business meeting. Officers elected are Mrs. B.M. Ballenger, president; Mrs. Guy Armstrong, vice president; Mrs. W.F. Pasby, secretary and treasurer; Mrs. Glen Kendall, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Billy Chalfant, historian; Mrs. Charles Burns, Parliamentarian; and Mrs. Leland Burns, reporter. Elected to the Membership Committee were Mrs. L.L. Martin, Mrs. Van Burns and Miss Agnes Tillman.
