McGLOTHLIN BABY SHOWER

You are invited to a Baby Shower honoring Mr. Cord Justin McGlothlin, expected infant son of Kiley and Tricia McGlothlin on Saturday, December 2, 2006, 10:00 A.M. at the Cheyenne First Baptist Fellowship Hall. Gift Registry at Wal-Mart and Peso Dollar Store.

 

 

PIANO RECITAL

The piano and voice students of Paula C. Isch will present a recital on Sunday, December 3, 3:00 PM, at the First United Methodist Church in Cheyenne. The public is invited.

LIBRARY GIVING TREE PROGRAM

The annual Minnie R. Slief Library Giving Tree Program will run through December 23, 2006. Everyone is encouraged to bring an ornament to decorate the Library Christmas Tree. A $5.00 donation will be made to the Food Basket program for each ornament donated.

 

COURTHOUSE NOTICE

The Roger Mills County Courthouse will be closed from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM on Friday, December 1, 2006.

 

 

SOROSIS CLUB FOOD BASKETS

GFWC-OK Cheyenne Sorosis Club is now accepting donations for the Christmas Basket Project. If you would like to make a donation or help out in any way, please call Carolyn Ford at 497-3483.

DECORATING the PARK

The Town of Cheyenne encourages individuals, churches, organizations, etc., to call the City Office at 497-2455 to reserve a spot in the City Park for a Christmas Display. Let’s all get into the Christmas spirit and have a beautifully decorated park this year!!

 

REYDON CHRISTMAS LIGHTING

The Town of Reydon Christmas Lighting will be on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Park. Please bring cookies, brownies or candy to share at the celebration. There will be caroling, Santa Claus, and door prizes. The Senior Citizens Building will be open with hot chocolate and coffee. Hope to see you there.

 

DEMPSEY SOCIAL

You are invited to attend the monthly Dempsey Social on Saturday, December 2, 2006 beginning at 6:00 p.m. Please bring your favorite dish for a “potluck” meal. Dominoes and other games will be played after the meal.

COUNTRY CHRISTMAS at REYDON

The Reydon First Baptist Church will present “Country Christmas” on December 17th. The Adult program during morning service and kids program Sunday evening. Food, fun and fellowship for everyone. Watch for times next week.

SCOUTING for FOOD

The Cheyenne Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts are participating in the “Scouting for Food” project. If you would like to contribute, place a bag filled with non-perishable food items on your front porch on Saturday, December 2nd. The bags will be picked up before 1 p.m. All donated items will be used in the Roger Mills County Christmas Food Baskets.

 

CRAWFORD DANCE LESSONS

If you have always wanted to learn some of the ‘old time’ fun dances, join us at the Crawford Gym on Saturday, December 9th, 7:00 PM for dance lessons from Donnie & Grace Chappel. The next dance at Crawford will be on Saturday, December 30 starting at 7 PM. Come join the fun.

P.I.E. CHRISTMAS PARTY

Parents In Education (P.I.E.) will host their Christmas Party on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the FBC Family Center. A meeting will be held from 5-6 PM followed by the Christmas Party.

REYDON TOWN & WATER BOARD MEETINGS

Reydon Rural Water District #3 Board of Directors will hold their monthly Board Meeting on Monday, December 4, 2006 beginning at 5:00 p.m. The Board of Trustees, Town of Reydon, will hold their monthly board meeting beginning at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 5, 2006. The meetings will be open to the public.

 

SANTA COMING to CHEYENNE

Bring your list and visit Santa Claus on Saturday, December 9th, 2:00 PM at the Rook Theatre, downtown Cheyenne. Get your picture taken with Santa!

 

BUTLER SOPHOMORE DINNER

The Butler Sophomore class will be hosting a Hamburger & Brisket Dinner at the Butler School Cafeteria on Friday, December 1 from 5-6:00 PM. Adults-$5; Students-$3.

 

VIDEO SERIES to BEGIN at FBC

The Cheyenne First Baptist Church will be hosting a video series by Beth Moore entitled “Daniel”. The 12-session series will begin on Sunday, December 3, at 5:30 PM.  All women are invited to attend this exciting series.

 

CHEYENNE BOWLING NEWS

The Senior Bowling League results were: Female Star: Bernice Burns 67 pins over average. Male Star: Leon Hobbs 55 pins over average. Games over 150: Joe Cullen-184, George Whitehead-178, Leon Hobbs-177, Leland Burns-172, Glenn Green-168, Andy Pope-158, Dar Cullen-159, Jerry Toth-156 and Bernice Burns-155. CHEYENNE BAND & VOCAL CONCERT

Cheyenne Public Schools Band & Vocal Christmas Concert will be held Tuesday, December 5th, 7:00 PM at the School Auditorium.

 

CHRISTMAS SINGING at CRAWFORD

Magnolia Baptist Church in Crawford will be hosting a Christmas Sing on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at 3PM. Everyone is invited. The church will provide sandwiches, please bring a side dish or dessert.

 

AAA - NA MEETINGS

GOLF CLUB NEWS

The team of Bob Cannon, Glenn Green, Ed Green and James Maddux were the winners of last Sunday’s Golf Scramble with a 5 under par. John Thomas was the winner on closest to the pin on Hole #3. See you Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Cheyenne Golf Course.

 

REYDON SENIOR CITIZEN DINNER

Everyone is invited to the Reydon Senior Citizen Dinner on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9 they will be serving Bacon, Sausage, Scrambled Eggs, Biscuits & Gravy, Pancakes from 4:30-6:30 PM. 55 & over $3.00; 55 & under $5.00; Children $3.00. Everyone welcome.
