CARTER BABY SHOWER

Everyone is invited to a Shower of Blessings for the expected babies of Carol Gwartney & Shayne (Paco) Carter and Angela Cruz and Travis (Levi) Carter on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Cheyenne United Methodist Fellowship Hall. Selections at Peso Dollar Store and Wal-Mart.

 

REYDON SENIOR CITIZEN DINNER

Everyone is invited to the Reydon Senior Citizen Dinner on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16, they will be serving Mexican Casserole, Tossed Salad, Corn, Chips & Salsa and Dessert they will also have a dinner on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 27 they will be serving Smothered Chicken Fried Steak, Baked Potato, Green Beans, Hominy, Hot Rolls, Homemade Cherry Cobble from 4:30-6:30 PM. 55 & over $3.00; 55 & under $5.00; Children $3.00. Everyone welcome.

CAMERON VINCENT MEDICAL FUND

A Medical Trust Fund for Cameron Vincent has been established at Great Plains National Bank in Sayre. Cameron is 3 years old and has leukemia. He travels to OKC weekly for aggressive treatment. He and his twin brother Mikey are the sons of Michelle Vincent and the grandsons of Billie Scott Vincent. All donations are for medical expenses.

 

 

 

FIREMAN’S DINNER at DURHAM

 

A Fireman’s Dinner will at the Durham Community Building on Wednesday February 21, Noon. All firemen eat FREE! All donations go to the Crawford Fire Department and everyone is welcome. There will be Stew, Chili, Beans, and Cornbread and lots of desserts. Come support your local Fire Department and try out the good cooking provided by the Durham Willing Workers and the Crawford Ladies.

   

CRAWFORD MONTHLY DANCE

 

The dance at the Crawford Gym will be Saturday February 17 starting at 8:00 PM. Music will be by the Western Swingsters. Everyone is invited.

TODDLER TIME at the LIBRARY

 

Toddler Time will be held at the Minnie R Slief Library 10 AM on Thursdays. Toddler Time is for toddlers ages 1-3 and their caregiver or parent. Dates are February 15th, theme Fishing for a Good Book; Feb 22nd Fun with Bubbles; March 1st  Old McDonald’s Farm; March 8th Kittens and Puppies. Each Toddler Time will have stories and activities. P.I.E. MONTHLY MEETING

 

The Monthly Meeting of the Cheyenne Parents In Education will meet on Friday, March 2, 2007, 5:00 PM at the Cheyenne Ambulance Barn. They will be electing officers.

REYDON UMC PANCAKE SUPPER

 

The Reydon United Methodist Church Pancake Supper will be held on Friday, February 23, 2007 from 5-7:00 PM followed by a Sing-a-Long. Everyone is invited.

 
 

RMC REPUBLICAN PARTY MEETING

GOSPEL SINGING at BAPTIST CHURCH

 

Everyone is invited to come hear the Link Family sing at the First Baptist Church in Cheyenne on Sunday, February 25th during the morning worship service.

   

HUNTING HERITAGE BANQUET

 

The Blackkettle Longbeards Hunting Heritage Banquet will be held Thursday, February 22, 7:00 PM at the Rockin S in Cheyenne.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE PRESENTATION

 

Everyone is invited to attend the Cheyenne Public Schools Teacher In-Service Program on Monday, February 19th from 9-12:30 in the School Auditorium. The presentation will cover the schools emergency response procedures for natural disasters, fire, hazardous materials, violence in the workplace and earthquakes. State Preparedness Officer Jeff Chalmers will present the power-point presentation.

 

BENEFIT RANCH RODEO

 

A Benefit Ranch Rodeo for Craig Guthrie will be held March 17th, 4:00 PM in Canadian, Texas. There will also be a Benefit Auction and dance. For more information or to make a donation contact Justin Eakins 580-497-7500.

TOWN of CHEYENNE NOTICE

 

The Town of Cheyenne and Cheyenne Fire Department are asking everyone to contact the City Office if you have a storm shelter or know of one. This is a reminder with storm season approaching that all shelter can be checked so no one is trapped. Call the City Office at 580-497-2455.

   

VETERANS NOTICE

 

Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs Cassidy Smith, Field Service Representative will be at Cheyenne City Hall on the 2nd and 4th Friday on the Month to assist Veterans and Dependents. No appointment needed.

 

CADC NOTICE

Red River Transportation will be having a Open Meeting to discuss transportation issues. Everyone is invited. The meeting for Roger Mills County will be held February 20th from 11-11:30 AM at the Red River Transportation Office.

 

   

FOOD BANK DISTRIBUTION

 

The next Food Distribution by the Circle of Care  will be on February 16, 2007, 12-2 PM at 406 Broadway, Cheyenne.

GOLF CLUB NEWS

The team of Bob Cannon, Glenn Green, Ed Green and James Maddux were the winners of last Sunday’s Golf Scramble with a 5 under par. John Thomas was the winner on closest to the pin on Hole #3. See you Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Cheyenne Golf Course.

CEMETERY FUND DONATIONS
