OFU OFFERS COUNTY MATCH SCHOLARSHIP
Roger Mills County Farmers Union is accepting applications for a $250.00 scholarship. The scholarship is available through a marching partnership between the county organization and Oklahoma Farmers Union State office.
“This scholarship initiative is intended to benefit young people in all 77 countries, “Oklahoma Farmers Union President & CEO Ray L. Wulf said. “Our scholarships are yet another way we support the young leaders of tomorrow.” The family farm organization also sponsors annual speech contests, summer leadership camps, poster contests, state scholarships, agricultural contests and much more.
The applicant must be a graduating senior in high school with a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA and must be a member of Oklahoma Farmers Union. Applications will be judged on knowledge of Farmers Union, OFU involvement, leadership activities, scholastic achievement and financial need.
Applications and a certified transcript are due by April 15th, 2007 and should be sent to: RR 1 Box 5 Durham, OK 73642.
