Larry Ford Announces Candidacy for Dewey County Commissioner

            Leedey- Larry Ford, a Leedey resident for nearly 40 years, has announced his candidacy for Dewey County Commissioner, District One. Ford, running on the Democratic ticket, has worked for Dewey county and in teh oil field and is familiar with many rural roads in the county. He also is a local businessman, having operated the Larry Ford Body shop in Leedey for 39 years.

            Ford says he will work with other county commissioners and will be "honest and fair in making decisions concerning county management." Ford is no stranger to the public eye. He organized music shows in Leedey at the high school for many years, and most recently toured weekends with the Larry Ford Bluegrass Bad. He has recorded several CDs and appeared on the Grand Ole Opery in Nashville, Tenn. a half-dozen times.

            Ford and his wife Sue have three adult children and five grandchildren.
