LUCAS FAMILY REUNION

 

The family of O.D. and Mary Lucas will have their annual family reunion on Saturday, July 29th at the Cheyenne Senior Citizens Center. The covered dish lunch will be at Noon with reminiscing beginning at 11:00 a.m. For more information call Julie O’Neal 497-3555.

 

 

 

CRAWFORD DANCE

 

The Crawford Dance will be held Saturday, July 22 at the Crawford Gym beginning at 8:00 PM. Dianna Kiser & Band will be entertaining. Everyone is welcome.

   

CHUCK MILNER FAMILY at DEMPSEY

 

Chuck Milner and his children, Hallie and Cody, will be the featured entertainment at the next Dempsey Social on Saturday August 5, 2006. A “Potluck” meal is planned. Families may bring their favorite dish or dessert. Activities begin at 7:00 p.m. Hope to see you there.

LIKE TO QUILT??

 

The Pioneer Museum is looking for people to help quilt. The quilt is at the museum, hours are M-F 10-4.

 

 

CHEYENNE ELEMENTARY OPEN HOUSE

 

Open House for students attending Cheyenne Elementary School, grades Pre-K-6th, will be held Monday, August 14 from 6-7:00 PM.

CHEYENNE-REYDON ATHLETICS PHYSICALS

 

FREE Health Physicals for Cheyenne-Reydon (5th-12th) Athletes and bus drivers will be held at the Buster Clinic on Friday, July 28 from 8:30-11:00 & 2-4:00. A make-up date will follow in August. Parents need to pick up a form and have it completed  and signed before the physical.

 
 

FREE COFFEE at REYDON FBC

 

Anyone in the Reydon or surrounding communities that enjoys just sitting around and visiting over a fresh cup of coffee is invited to come join us at the First Baptist Church in Reydon, Coffee, light snacks and tea, cold or hot will be served. This community service will be held each Monday & Tuesday, 3-5 p.m. and Thursday & Friday, 3-5 p.m.

REYDON FBC BIBLE SCHOOL

 

Everyone is invited to come to Vacation Bible School at Reydon First Baptist Church, July 31st thru August 4th, 6-9 nightly. Artic Edge: Where Adventure Meets Courage is for children Pre-K thru 6th grade. Hope to see you there!

   

DEWEY COUNTY 4-H SHOOTING SPORTS

 

Dewey County 4-H Shooting Sports 3D Archery Shoot Fund Raiser will be held Sunday July 30th at 10:00 AM for Adult & Youth. Located west off Highway 183 north of Taloga River Bridge, follow signs. Lunch will be available. For more info, call Brian 580-328-5482.

REYDON SENIOR CITIZEN DINNER

Everyone is invited to the Reydon Senior Citizen Dinner on TUESDAY, JUNE 27. They will be serving Ham, Macaroni & Tomatoes, Okra, Pea Salad, Hot Rolls & Dessert. Serving from 4:30-6:30p.m. 55 & over $3.00; 55 & under $5.00; Children $3.00. Everyone welcome.

GOLF CLUB NEWS

Two teams tied at the Sunday Golf Scramble, a carryover will be held this Sunday. James Maddux was the winner of closet to the pin on Hole #3. See you Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Cheyenne Golf Course.

The Harvest Festival Fair catalogs are ready and can be picked up at the OSU Extension Office between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

 

 

WESTERN PLAINS BIKERS NOTICE

Western Plains Downed Bikers Association will meet for their monthly meeting on Thursday, August 3, 2006 at 7:00PM at 1200 Colorado in Elk City. RSVP to 580-243-6135. A Benefit Dice Run for Anthony Butler will be held July 29th Registration at 4:00 PM and first bikes out at 5:00 PM. The Dice Run starts at Friends in Canute and ends at the Hydro bar. A benefit Poker Run for Jodi Garrison will be held on Sunday, August 6. Registration at 4:00 PM and first bikes out at 5:00 PM beginning at The Tool Box in Elk City and ending at the 66 lounge in Sayre. CHEYENNE BOWLING NEWS

 

The Senior Bowling League results for April 6 were: Female Star: Jay Swift 32 pins over average. Male Star: Donald Atzet 89 pins over average. Games over 150: Harry Swift-169, Jay Swift-175. Series over 450: Harry Swift-456.

 

 

4-H JUNIOR ROUNDUP AUGUST 3

The annual 4-H Junior Roundup will be held on August 3, 2006 in the Ag Pavilion. It is always filled with fun and educational workshops for all kids between the ages of 9 and 18. It is your chance to see what is a 4-H Club program. Watch here for time and activities!

 

 

 

 

 

RED ROCK RED HAT SOCIETY MEETING
